Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday to express his displeasure with pop star Taylor Swift, shortly after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

Swift’s endorsement of Harris came via an Instagram post on Tuesday, where she praised the Vice President as a “steady-handed, gifted leader.”

In response, Trump published a post written in all caps, Trump declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Swift’s post was also a response to misleading AI-generated images Trump had shared three weeks ago, which falsely depicted Swift and her fans as supporting him.

In reaction to Trump’s comments, the Harris-Walz campaign issued a statement laced with references to Swift’s music.

“Donald Trump’s week of whining and spouting conspiracy theories has voters on both sides of the aisle ready to forget he existed,” said campaign spokesperson Sarafina Chitika.

“The American people want to move beyond the chaos and division of the Trump era, leaving behind his broken promises and looking forward to a future of opportunity with Vice President Harris,” Chitika continued.

Swift’s endorsement prompted a notable spike in traffic to Vote.gov, with more than 300,000 visitors seeking state-specific voting information shortly after her post.
